Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!!! If there was just one word I could use to describe Ryan and Jamie's wedding that would be it. :-)

This lovely couple was married this past Saturday in Issaquah, WA. Nick's parents, Todd and Nancy gladly and graciously offered to host the wedding of their oldest son and new daughter in law Jamie at their home and garden. Rumor had it that Ryan's mother had spent months preparing and making perfect their yard and beautiful garden. What an amazing privilege it was to shoot at this awesome location.

Ryan's family were not the only ones who got in on the wedding day action... Jamie's brother David, wrote and performed a song for the happy bride and groom during their reception. It was a touching moment for many.

Jamie and Ryan, both WSU Alumni had a bridal party that consisted of blood siblings as well as fraternity brothers and sorority sisters! This crazy bunch was full of love and support not to mention energy and laughter when it came to this well matched couple.
This was the type of wedding/reception where John and I had a tough time leaving. :) Great people having a great time...all the ingredients to a perfect day!

Andrew & Shara's wedding

Longtime friend Shara Orton wedded close family friend Andrew Hovde on Saturday July 21st 2007 at Pioneer Park in Steilacoom, Wa.
God was watching down on Andrew and Shara as their wedding day approached. Planning an outdoor wedding seems to have it's way of making even the most confident brides and grooms bite their nails. They carefully chose July 21st because it was shown by the Farmers Almanac not to have rained on that day in many, many, many years! One of the other reasons they opted for a July 21st and not a July 7th (7/7/07) wedding.
At the rehearsal, it had been gloomy and rainy on and off all day. The rain clouds parted just long enough for us to run through the ceremony. It was PERFECT! Once we had the rehearsal down, it was off to dinner at Pomodoro's in Tacoma.
The entire day and into the evening had gone off with out a hitch. Even as a bridesmaid and friends of the couple we were able to capture some great pictures from the day.
Saturday morning, the wedding day was here! Andrew had been sent to stay at a friends house the night before, so Shara, her beautiful daughter Makaila and great friend Brandi Otnes all bunked together.
Tara Seabaugh along with myself arrived at Shara's bright and early to get things going! And going they got! Enjoying Mimosa's and each other's company, Shara's wedding day was under way!
The entire day was absolutely amazing and went perfectly. Shara, one of the most stunningly beautiful brides I have ever seen was calm, cool and collected. The groom (I heard from my husband John who spent the morning with him and his groomsmen) reported that he wasn't to bad himself! Andrew of course had his long time friends Chris, Tim and Dan at his side as well. In fact, Andrews good friend Bill Washburn (AKA "the good reverend") married the two!
The rest of the day was beautiful. From the food (Thank you Gallucci's) to the music (thank you John Karwoski) it truly was a great day!
Thank you Andrew & Shara for allowing us to share in your special day!
I have to say a little extra... being that these two are such great friends, John and I couldn't be happier for Shara and Andrew. You're truly blessed with the love that you have for one another and we wish you the best! We'll always be here for you! Love you guys lots!

John and I spent Sunday afternoon with Nick and Jessica (getting married this October) at Gene Coulon Park in Renton, Wa.
Nick, supposedly Mr. Camera shy... had no problem putting his best face forward for his engagement session with his gorgeous bride to be! We all had a great time... and Jessica being such a good sport, even took one for the team, lying down on a dirty railroad track... just to get "that shot" I wanted! :-) Thanks Jessica, the pictures turned out GREAT!
What an amazing couple these two are! John and I are SO excited to have had the opportunity to get to know these two better and we are really looking forward to shooting their wedding this Fall!
Thanks you guys for spending the day with us! We hope you both had as much fun and we did!

Ben & Gretchen get MARRIED (finally)!!!!

Our dear friends Ben and Gretchen (now) Levy tied the knot this past Saturday at Echo Falls Country Club in Snohomish, Wa.
John and I have really enjoyed getting to know these two as a couple over the past year or so. In fact I first met Gretchen Back in December 2005 when we both started orientation at the same company. It wasn't until a few months later that we ran into each other in the cafeteria and noticed each others engagement rings which got us talking about weddings... you know from there it was pretty much history! :-)
Ben and Gretchen have been together since high school and have shared so many great memories and good times together. Unfortunately they have also had their share of hard times... of course holding one another's hand and lifting each other up during them, creating an even tighter bond.
It was such a pleasure being part of their day, and it's a continued joy knowing that we'll share a friendship with these two in the years to come!
I attended Gretchen's bachelorette party last Thursday and took lots of pictures... I will only show you a few ;-0 wink wink. John also attended the Bachelor party with Ben, however he did not bring his camera... shocking I know!
This couple not only have an amazing relationship with one another, they also share a great family and awesome set of friends! Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your special day! Congratulations to you both. We LOVE you!

Ryan & Jamie's engagement shoot

John and I had SO much fun with Ryan and Jamie at Seattle's, Golden Gardens park.
Now here's a couple that knows how to have a good time! Even after hearing they both have a tendency to be shy at times... I wouldn't have ever guessed because both Ryan and Jamie couldn't stop smiling and laughing, mostly at each other! Jamie is a school teacher using her summer off to finsh her wedding details, and Ryan's a volunteer Firefighter for the City of Issaquah and they were a photographers dream couple! The love and respect that these two have for each other was quite apparent. On top of everything else, the weather was just perfect, warm, but not to hot & just enough cloud cover to make it a perfect day to take pictures!
Ryan and Jamie are getting married in just a few short weeks and we can't wait to work with them again! Here are a few pictures of the adorable bride and groom to be!

Chris & Tricia are married!

Chris and Tricia were married on June 23rd at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn Wa.
However it was not without obstacle that they made it to the alter. Just a few months ago their home caught on fire, leaving them without a place to call there own... adding to the already busy and stressful time of planning their wedding. Thankfully Tricia's mother, Vicki, unselfishly opened up her home to them both.
After all was said and done, their wedding was a hit and now Mr. and Mrs. Wood are living happily as husband and wife... still (I believe) waiting for there home to be repaired.
They have one another as well as a loving son, Ta'a. No doubt they'll get through this rough patch together and live wonderfully happy lives!
Congratulations to you both! You'll be in our prayers
