| John and I have been looking forward to this wedding all year! Not only did this wonderful wedding take place in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but it was the wedding of two of our dearest friends, Chris & Tara. Follow me while I share with you some pictures and some memories from our favorite moments. We arrived on a Friday evening and got all settled into our Hotel, Melia Cabo Real. The next morning we met up with the gang for a quick rehearsal at Casa Del Mar. The plan for that evening was to go to the welcome dinner held at Poncho's right in downtown Cabo. The dinner was fabulous, including lobster tail and steak or a platter of steak, chicken and ribs. The food was to die for! The evening was amazing with the mariachi band to serenade us all and the bar was overflowing with shots of tequila! It was a great night. A few images to help paint the picture. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sunday all of the guys went out to play golf while us girls sat back and relaxed by the pool taking turns getting a massage. Ahh! John got some great shots of the guys playing golf, however as relaxed as I was, I didn't manage to pick up the camera much that day. Here are a few of the guys golfing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Monday was upon us. Tara & Chris' big day. It was so great to be there to capture our dear friends' big day. Tara looked so amazing... her beauty, beyond words. Chris, not doing so bad himself, was a dapper match to his gorgeous bride. Tara's sister and best friend Carly took on the role of Maid of Honor while Chris' best friend David proudly stood next to Chris as best man. I don't know if words can really describe how precious and stunning their ceremony was, but it too was breathtaking. Tara's Dad Larry, walked his eldest daughter down the isle (surely fighting back some tears, or not) to the man who was taking his little girl. It was one of those moments you could call bitter sweet. As everyone knows, Chris is an outstanding individual and to give his daughter to such a guy, makes this moment a little bit easier... but I'm sure not much. :) During the ceremony sister, Carly sung John Legends "I Will Stay With You" played by guitarist and good friend Lee. Lets just say that John and I weren't the only ones on that beach with tears rushing down our cheek. :) All of the guests were lead to the cocktail hour by a Mexican Trio band. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We just had to take these guys to the beach for some sunset pictures, I mean, hello! We were in Mexico! Check these out. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The reception as also held on the beach and let me tell ya, it was one heck of a party! Usually when shooting a wedding, John and I have a great time, but it's all behind the camera. This wedding was a little different. :) Although John is the one who captured the majority of the reception pictures, he still found time to have a great time with our wonderful friends. It was so great to see such a large # of family and friends, travel all the way to Mexico to share in such a monumental event. ![]() ![]() Chris & Tara, you are loved and adored by many! Thank you both so very much for not only allowing us to capture your day, but to be a part of your lives. We truly do cherish you friendship. A million congratulations to you both. We know that a lifetime of love and happiness is awaiting you both. We love you! | It has been a very busy couple of months. We've had a handful of engagement sessions and weddings... but what's really been keeping me busy are all of these portrait sessions! It's great but unfortunately I've fallen a little behind on posting blogs so I thought I'd just them all at once. :) Hope you enjoy! My dear friend Gretchen, who's since had a little baby girl, Taylor. Stay tunned for Taylor's debut. ![]() ![]() ![]() It's time for some family portraits! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A few seniors. | Come and check out Joe & Stacy. Getting married in early 2010, this couple is doing the long distance thing at the moment. Joe is finishing up school here while fiance' Stacy steps into the world of law... working for the time being, in Boise ID. Back to Washington for a much needed visit (not to mention to celebrate her birthday) we met up with these two at the UW campus to shoot their engagement session. How lucky were we to, yet again, get awesome weather! Take a look for yourself at what an adorable couple these two are. John and I had a blast and spent a record setting 4(ish) hours with the love birds. It's usually our couples that are done after shooting for an hour or two, but not Stacy & Joe. Being UW alumni showed us all around the area taking us to places we hadn't shot before. John and I had a blast and felt so lucky to spend so much time getting to know these two. We are looking forward to your 2010 wedding and hope to see you sometime in between! A few of our fav's. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Labels: Engagements |
